Yucatan Culture
The Yucatán Peninsula, in Southeastern Mexico, separates the Caribbean Sea from the Gulf of Mexico. It comprises a large portion of the ancient Maya Lowlands, and is home to many archeologically significant sites including Chichen Itza, Tikal, Tulum, and Uxmal.
The influence of the Maya and Mestizos population is apparent to this day as Mayan Languages are widely used.
